- So, what IS Yarsoft games?!?! -
Good question, web page. Yarsoft started out many many years ago as the extension of my screen name, Yarharhar. The name stuck with me, as did the website. As I began to make more and more game demos, I decided to keep it around as it is quite catchy. I am quite aware that using a pirate-like name with a software company isn't the most logical idea, but I enjoy it anyhow. Yarsoft is my game company, and when I begin to release full, 'big-time' games that I have designed, it will be under the Yarsoft name. There are already a few in the planning stages.
- Who are you?!?! -
For your information, I am a 20 year old programmer/game designer named Andy Maneri. I started programming at a very young age with languages such as QBASIC and products like 'Klik and play'. I've enjoyed game-making pretty much since it was physically possible for me to do so. Currently I am getting my official game-making education at this excellentacular college known as DigiPen in Redmond, Washington. If you want to make games, go there. Seriously.
- Who is Yarharhar?!?! -
Yarharhar is many things. He started out as my screen name (actually still is). Later, he was the inspiration for Yarsoft Games. He is also Yarsoft's mascot and will be the star of its first commercial game. If you want something more fictional, he is an incredibly jawesome and tough pirate who will fight anyone, has a beard, and is feared among 21 seas because his ship travels to different dimensions.
Well I think that's everything. If you have any other questions, feel free to email me.
